Phase Rotation-CW/CCW

This confuses me a lot. Is the A-B-C (CCW) phase sequence/rotation the same as the A-C-B (CW)? By looking at the phasor diagram, I thought they are the same but I want to make sure. I have a utility with A-B-C (CW) phase sequence and I need to parallel generators that have A-C-B(CW) sequences. In the diagram just look at the ABC Anti Clock Wise phase sequence. Here the phasors are rotating in anti clock wise direction. An imaginary viewer (see figure-A, left) will encounter first phase A, then B, then C again A, then B.like wise.The sequence is ABCABCABC. Or ABC Anti Clock Wise sequence.

3 Phase Power Rotation

Can someone please explain the concept of phase rotation. Is it simply the order that the phases peak in? For instance is an ABC phase rotation the case where phase A leads phase B by 120 degrees, and B leads C by 120 degrees? If so, why are the terms clockwise and counter clockwise sometimes used with phase rotation? For instance, whats the difference between ABC clockwise and ABC counter clockwise? Lastly, is there a standard phase rotation for a 3 phase utility? How about a 3 phase generator?

Phase rotation requires to be maintained throughout, particularly so on large industrial sites with hundreds of motors, many transformers and lots of switchgear. All drawings for single line distribution and motor controls that I was involved in, had the phase rotation vector placed in the top right hand side of drawings, as a matter of routine.
